BAPTISMAL IDEAS: MIKOHIRO'S CHRISTENING at PLANA'S PANTRY QC

My son was born last May 2016, so its on his 7th month when we let him dedicated as a Christian. Actually I want it done at the same time on his 1st birthday but because of some misconceptions and superstitious beliefs we heard, we had it sooner. And his vaccines were mostly complete and his head support is stable enough in case somebody wants to carry him. We finally agreed. 

First things first. The CHURCH. We planned to make it on December. We all know that it's a peak season but for me it's the best time of the year. The schedules on the church and receptions were so tight and the first venue we planned was too far for the majority of the guests. We decided to baptized him at ST. PETER PARISH at Commonwealth, Quezon City. We choose the 9:30am slot.

 Baptismal fee: 1500php

Second is the RECEPTION. Choosing a reception was so hard. After you have done on your guest lists you need to consider of course your budget, its proximity to the church, the accessibility of your guests, And the most important thing is the availability of your chosen reception venue on your church's baptismal scheduled time. Since it was December surely it was hard to book and the rates were too high. With the help of my sister in law, We have successfully booked on the church and the reception done in one day. Whew! They gave us their only available time 10:30am -1:30pm slot. Because they are already fully booked. Gladly it was synchronized in our church. We gave them our reservation fee 3000 php to blocked the date and time. This will be deducted to the package we were chosen, 

Good thing we have immediate access to search from the baptismal themes down to the event party stylist, cake and balloon supplier. Thanks to Pinterest, Instagram, Facebook and some of the mommy blogs out there.

We finally booked at Plana's Pantry in their Quezon Avenue Branch, We chose these venue because it was perfect for our theme. It's budget wise yet their food doesn't compromise. It tasted so good and perfect for intimate gatherings. They have several party package. We chose package C which is 20,000 php for 40-50 guests.

DESSERT TABLE (OPTIONAL). We got this package from Balloon concept. We got their package worth 5000php includes a personalized Candy buffet, balloon setup and a dedication book matches on your requested theme.

CAKE AND CUPCAKES. Of course it is the highlight of every occasion. Since our theme is baby bear, we just give them our pegs for the cake and gladly they made it well. This fondant cake and 18 pcs cupcake package worth 3000 php by Samthing Bake and Tins Kitchen

INVITATIONS/ THANK YOU CARDS.  I just uploaded on my ipad an app called Canvas, you can DIY invitation on your chosen designed templates. Since we are already on a techy world, I just made an event on Facebook and uploaded there the invitation and added all the guests on that event closed group. 

GUESTBOOK DEDICATION

PARTY FAVORS. We just bought our baptismal souvenirs for the guests at Landmark. I just added a little touch of DIY by making some tags and thank you notes for the godparents and other guests. This gold baby bear costs 80php plus the goody bag 20php
